1. What do we do with your Information?

When you register an account we store your user name, password, email address, county or state, your country and a unique identifying number we use with our payment provider, Stripe. We also store and information you later provide in your settings options

We store your user name and password as a means for you to validate your identity as the owner of the account when using the platform. We store states, counties and countries to help us understand where our service is being used. We feel no reason to have anything more specific than this and don't store streets or exact addresses. We also don't store your name unless you explicitly choose to provide it in your Account settings. While we collect more specific address and payment information at registration, this is to fulfill payment requirements through banking institutions and not retained in our database. Our payment merchant, Stripe, will retain these details independantly and securely so that it can validate payments for us. As a means to contact you, we retain your email address.

When you browse our site, we also receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. We use this information, anonymously, to help us improve the service by being able to view statistics on how the site is used.

With your permission, we may send you emails about our service and other updates relating to us.

We do not provide any of your information to third parties beyond those to our payment merchant that are required to authorise a payment, and anonymous browsing information to Google Analytics so that they can provide us and you with information on how our sites are visited and used. We do not sell any of your information to third-parties.

We will only retain personal information for as long as necessary for the fulfilment of those purposes.

Any information that can be identified to you is available for you to view and/or alter in your settings on the site. Any information that cannot be identified to you is unavailable for us to share with you for viewing or amending as we have no ability to know it is particular to you.

2. Consent

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete registration, verify your credit card, or place an order, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by cancelling your account through the site's settings.

3. Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

4. Data Storage

Your registration information, except for credit card details, and content information is stored on our databases on a secure server behind a firewall.

We use the third-party payment service, Stripe, to process any monetary transactions. Stripe securely stores any credit card details you use for registration through us. Some Fine Food does not store any credit card details.

5. Payment

All payment transaction are done securely, though the third-party service, Stripe.

6. Third-party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we ask that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. Stripe's terms are available in the form used when providing payment details, as well as on their own website.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Ireland and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act. Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our platform, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

8. Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

9. Cookies

Here is a list of cookies that we use.

SFFSESSID : Allows us to verify that you have logged in or out of Some Fine Food on your device.

_ga : Third-party cookie for Google Analytics.

sffmp : A cookie that anonymously remembers repeat visitors if the _ga cookie is not available.

10. Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least eighteen years of age.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
